Vincent d'Indy

Paul Marie Théodore Vincent d'Indy was a French composer and teacher, co-founder of the Schola Cantorum de Paris. His notable students included Albéric Magnard, Albert Roussel, Arthur Honegger, Darius Milhaud, and Erik Satie. Born into an aristocratic family in Paris, d'Indy studied under César Franck and was significantly influenced by his admiration for German music.
