Anders Hillborg

Anders Hillborg, born in Sollentuna, is a prominent Swedish composer. He studied composition, counterpoint, and electronic music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm from 1976 to 1982. Hillborg's professors included Gunnar Bucht, Lars-Erik Rosell, Arne Mellnäs, and Pär Lindgren, with Brian Ferneyhough as a significant influence during his visiting professorship. Since graduating, Hillborg has worked as a freelance composer. He held a professorship in composition at the Musikhögskolan in Malmö in 1990 and has given masterclasses. His creative work spans orchestral, choral, chamber music, and contributions to film and pop music, including collaboration with Eva Dahlgren.
