Armando Gentilucci

Born into a family of musicians, Armando Gentilucci studied composition in Milan under the guidance of Bruno Bettinelli and Franco Donatoni. He was a lecturer at the conservatories of Bolzano and Milan from 1969 until his untimely death in 1989, and directed the musical institute "Achille Peri" in Reggio Emilia. Additionally, Gentilucci was one of the founders of Musica/Realtà, a cultural association producing reviews and an important periodical magazine on contemporary music.
