Billy Joel

William Martin Joel, known as Billy Joel, born on May 9, 1949, is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. He attained widespread acclaim with his hit song 'Piano Man' and has since been a prominent figure in pop and rock music. Throughout the 1970s until 1993, he released twelve studio albums and one classical album in 2001. With over 160 million records sold globally, he's one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Joel, originally from the Bronx in New York City, was raised in Long Island where he began his music career after dropping out of high school.
