More about Clifford Grey
Clifford Grey (5 January 1887 – 25 September 1941) was an English songwriter, librettist, actor, and screenwriter, known for his contributions to West End and Broadway shows. Collaborating with composers like Ivor Novello, Jerome Kern, and George Gershwin, his hits included 'If You Were the Only Girl (In the World)' and 'Spread a Little Happiness'. Despite rumors, he was not the Olympic bobsleigher Clifford 'Tippy' Gray. Grey's career spanned acting in silent films and writing for the stage and screen, transitioning successfully to talking pictures in Hollywood.
