Edward Heyman was an American lyricist and producer, renowned for his classic lyrics to songs such as 'Body and Soul,' 'When I Fall in Love,' and 'For Sentimental Reasons.' A University of Michigan alumnus, he began his career writing for college musicals. Moving back to New York, he collaborated with esteemed musicians like Victor Young, Dana Suesse, and Johnny Green. His contributions between 1935 and 1952 to film scores include 'Sweet Surrender,' 'That Girl from Paris,' 'Curly Top,' among others. Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975, his works continue to resonate in popular culture.
