More about Ettore Pozzoli
Ettore Pozzoli (July 23, 1873 – November 9, 1957) was an Italian classical pianist and composer. He received his music diploma from the Milan Conservatory in 1895 and then began his career, teaching at the Conservatory and composing music for piano and orchestra. Pozzoli is especially known for his works on theory and solfeggio, which are still considered foundational for pianists, notable for their progressive difficulty and focus on harmony and counterpoint. He passed away in his hometown of Seregno, Italy, and since 1959, the city has hosted an international piano contest in his memory.
