Henrik Hellstenius

Henrik Hellstenius is a Norwegian composer and musicologist, born on 28 April 1963 in Bærum, Norway. He studied musicology at the University of Oslo and composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Furthering his education in Paris, Hellstenius studied with Gérard Grisey and at IRCAM. His diverse compositional work includes opera, chamber music, and electronic pieces, receiving international performances. Hellstenius has collaborated with playwrights and choreographers, and holds a professorship at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
