John Deacon

John Richard Deacon is an English retired musician, best known as the bass guitarist for the rock band Queen. He contributed to the group's success with songs such as 'You're My Best Friend', 'Another One Bites the Dust', and 'I Want to Break Free'. Deacon was integral to Queen's sound and financial management, and after the death of Freddie Mercury, he performed only sporadically before retiring in 1997. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame as a member of Queen.
