Richard Harris

Richard St John Francis Harris (1 October 1930 – 25 October 2002) was an Irish actor and singer. He studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, became known as a British New Wave icon, and won a Cannes Best Actor Award and a Grammy. His roles in 'This Sporting Life' and 'The Field' earned him Oscar nominations, and he's acclaimed for playing Albus Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter movies. Harris also portrayed King Arthur in 'Camelot' and received a Golden Globe for it. He made a mark in the music industry with his recording of 'MacArthur Park'.
