Timo Andres

Timo Andres, born Timothy Andres in 1985 in Palo Alto, California, is an American composer and pianist. Growing up in rural Connecticut, Andres's work is greatly influenced by his environment. He was educated at Yale University and Juilliard's pre-college program, studying with notable composers. Andres gained recognition at the age of 24 when the Los Angeles Philharmonic premiered his piece 'Nightjar.' He has since been commissioned by prestigious venues and performed with prominent artists. His work, acclaimed for bridging traditional and contemporary sounds, draws from various influences, including both classical composers and contemporary bands.
